No Nonsense: AI Tools You Can Use Today

This hands-on session created by two waterproofing contractors is designed for ICRI members who want to start using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools—without needing any tech skills or coding experience. You’ll see exactly how AI can save you time, improve accuracy, and help you stay competitive in today’s fast-moving construction world. Real examples using common tools like Office 365-Copilot, Adobe, Decisions, Power BI, Workflow, Chat GPT, etc. will show how AI fits right into what you already do—no buzzwords, just practical value.

Whether you’re prepping a bid, reviewing a contract, building a job description, or creating your company’s social media posts, this presentation will help you take the first steps with confidence while taking into consideration the ethical risks.

  • Understand What AI Can (and Can’t) Do for You Today: Get a clear, no-hype explanation of how AI helps with common tasks like estimating, reporting, and marketing—and where human experience still matters most.
  • Learn How to Use Simple, Free Tools to Boost Efficiency: We’ll walk through how to use no-code tools like Workflows, ChatGPT, and others to cut down on repetitive tasks—without needing a software background.
  • Follow Step-by-Step Workflows for Real Job Tasks: You’ll see real examples from waterproofing: reviewing a contract, building an estimate, turning jobsite photos into a social media post—all with AI’s help.
  • Start Using AI This Month: Try one tool, and measure real results—on your own terms and schedule.
